A year ago you went to Heaven....

and 40 years ago you brought me into the world...you were a nuturing mother, doing the best you could raising 2 children with practically nothing. Thank you for your sacrifice, patience, picking me up from school, making sure I did my homework, packing my lunch, walking with me to/waiting for me after hockey & baseball practice, listening to my problems, encouraging me to keep painting, fighting to keep me clean & sober, and most of all for loving me. There's a still alot I have to do in life, but you raised me well and taught me everyone is a child of God, to respect and love everyone.....
I know you watch & bless me from Heaven now...Rest In Peace Forever Mom...we love & miss you more everyday that passes...Thank you, I love you Mom...R.I.P. 10/5/09

New Canvas! "Mos One, 1985""

Here's the latest from "The Paint & Trade" series I've been painting & exchanging with my fellow artists lately...

This one is for my fellow QB homie from way back, Anthony Zacto. Titled "Mos One, 1985" (acrylic on a 24"x30" canvas) it's a recreation of a throwie I popped off at 33rd-Rawson Street station on the 7 line in Queens back in 1985. As 15 yr-old high schooler, this was a big deal for me as that section of the platform was visible from most of my classes at Aviation High School.
It lasted for maybe 2 weeks till it got buffed! Hahaha....It was good times!

Enjoy, peace!

NEW! Canvas by Phil"Mos"One "The D" for DezoTC5 XMEN

When DezoTC5 XMEN asked me if I wanted to trade pieces and if I would paint a train canvas for him, I was honored. He's an incredible artist and definitely an inspiration artistically. I am proud to begin my collection with one of his originals.
This is called "The D" 22"x28" acrylic on canvas....
There's more in the works, plus collabos in the future. Keep you posted.....
Big ups to Dezo & TC5ive! You can see more of Dezo & TC5's incredible work at: http://www.tcfive.com/

NEW Phil"Mos"One piece in Anthony Zacto's blackbook

It had been a while since I did a black book, but when Anthony Zacto
asked me to rock a piece in his book, I knew I had to bless it with
something memorable & meaningful. We're homies since back in the day,
growing up in QB, and if you're from NYC, this piece will look very familiar
and hopefully bring back some happy memories to you.....especially if you
grew up there in the 70's & 80's...
Remember the better days, and thanks to everyone for showing love!
Enjoy, peace!

Sey One Fundraiser/Art Auction

A few years back I went to chill at 5 Pointz for Old Timer's Day. Amongst all the writers I met & reconnected with I noticed
an older tough looking, bearded, gentleman painting a piece on the back wall of the parking lot. I was told "That's Sey One, brother comes all the way from Pennsylvania to paint" I thought to myself, now that's dedication and love for art.
What made him inspiring to me, & probably many others, is not only does he make the trip from PA practically every week to 5 Pointz in Long Island City in Queens, NY, he paints from his wheelchair. He has a certain quiet toughness about him, he gets in that zone, the hours of sillence, let alone the sound of spraypaint cans spraying and rattling occasionally. Like I said...that's LOVE for the art.

I have yet to be introduced to him, but I consider him a brother in art, a cool dude doing his thing just like most artists
who paint at 5Pointz.

A fundraiser art show & auction will be held for the increasing costs of Sey's medical needs on Wednesday, Februaury 17th from 7pm-10pm at:

Session 73
1359 First Ave. (corner of 73rd)
NYC
(click on flyer above)

I plan to attend & show support for Sey, and maybe someone will introduce me to this inspiring man, Sey One.
I hope you will too. Please spread the word. Thanks. Peace.
